Here are instructions and video explaining how to fine tune your MAZDASPEED 3 shifter.
Here’s how to get in there.
1 – Remove your shift knob by rotating it counter clockwise
2 – Open the ashtray door and remove the ashtray
3 – Push the boot down and reach under the the silver ring surrounding the boot
and gently pull up. The cover will pop right off.
4 – Slip the trim with the boot off the shifter and set aside
5 – Reassemble in the reverse order
When making the adjustment to the shifter take your time. Make small adjustments. The end result is well worth the extra time you take to make it shift really nice.
