Installation isn't simple but not bad, the instructions were clear enough. I installed the plate first, then the bushings - definitely get the bushings. The throw is definitely shorter and more resistance, I really like the feel. But second gear and reverse grind a little sometimes - I've seen reviewers for other short shift plates say the same - but it's infrequent and isn't too loud/bad. I've been driving with it about a week and think I'm learning how to avoid it, seems less often now. I would definitely buy it again...
